1998: Foundation of Concept Technologie and specialization of services regarding design, rapid prototyping and testing
1999: Implementation of the in-house Free-Motion-Headform testing system, designed for testing the interior of vehicles.
2000: Due to the rising demand in virtual vehicle development, the analysis department was expanded. With the construction of our own pedestrian safety testing device, we were awarded with the “Fast Forward Award”, an award presented by the Styrian government for outstanding technical services.
The reputation as competent partner regarding safety engineering increases. Erwin Deutscher is accepted as a member of the Passive Safety Network (PSN) in Brussels, this working group allows an international transfer of know-how and discusses current topics in vehicle safety.
2001: Again widening it’s spectrum. A new field is the development of testing systems – “FROM USER TO USER”. Other facilities like the pendulum testing system are designed. The company is awarded with ”Young Entrepreneur of the Year” by the magazine ”Gewinn” in the category ”Industry”.
2002: Refinement of the analysis department Today we conduct complex calculations by ourselves.
In May, Concept launches its German office in Ingolstadt. The European working group PSN starts the project called ”Rollover” in co-operation with Concept: this project aims to minimize occupant injuries resulting from rollover accidents. The intention of this project is the unification of test methods and procedures and the development of concepts regarding possible solutions.
Due to more required space, the prototyping and mock up department has to move into the so-called ”Impulszentrum” to Lebring, where the prototypes for our customers are manufactured, and where also vehicle presentations, mock ups and preparations for testing vehicles take place.
2003: Edification of the new development building. The headquarter moves to Gratkorn. Safety engineering with new competences: expansion in the field of complete vehicle testing and sled testing.
2004: opening and start of the new development and innovation center in Gratkorn/Graz.
