Simulation

An ever receding time limit for developement and increasing customer expectations with regard to low initial outlay costs has led to rapidly growing financial pressure on serial developement.

Using simulation in the process of vehicle development, the developement time can be shortened and costs can be simulatneously reduced. The central issue is numerical simulation, whereas the predominant principle is safety.
In the conception phase simulation takes on a construction-supportive susidiary role.

When seen as a whole, simulation is made up of the following components:

Simulation of high-dynamic prcesses (crash, occupant, interior)

Quasi-static, non-linear analysis

Process simulation (deep draw, injection molding)

Research and development (simulation method, determination of material properties). If necessary the results of our crash-simulation will be verified by real-test.

In addition to explicit FE-Solver PamCrash and LsDyna for crash simulation we use specific software to resolve static and quasi-static problems.
For pre-processing we apply the program Medina, for post-processing we use Animator, PamView or LSTCPost.
