Since 1998 Concept Technologie has dealt with the construction of test benches.
Our extensive experience as a development service provider has been very influential. Our test benches are constantly advancing in correlation with our ideas; however our predominant aim remains, to provide customised test systems. We offer a wide range of test benches including: Pedestrian protection test system, FMH test system, pendulum, etc.

Our test benches are characterised by efficient usability and by excellent repetition accuracy of the attempt parameters. Thus making it possible to complete a large number of trials on a daily basis. As many patented systems are integrated into our equipment, we can provide our customers with a very user friendly system containing a wide range of functions.



FMH-Test System (Testing according to FMVSS 201 u)





On the basis of our extensive experience in the field of testing we have put a lot of effort into designing a lean structure for the launch device and for the supporting arm. The number of degrees of freedom and this optimised structure enables a quick and simple reach-ability of targets.

The durable incremental displacement and angle measuring devices, radio control unit and the wide traverse path are attributes contributing to the increase of efficiency and operational availability of the test system.

The extraordinarily high repetition accuracy of all the testing parameters is guaranteed by the following options: hydraulic clamping for all traverse paths, a highly developed and patented pneumatic launch cylinder nearly free of backstroke, a durable 4-pillar design, and self-learning software for speed control.
As a result thereof, our service staff do not need to concern themselves with time wasting positioning and can concentrate on optimising efficiency.

Pedestrian Protection Test System (Testing according to Directive 2003/102/EC)



The durable incremental displacement and angle measuring devices, radio control unit and the wide traverse path are attributes for increase of efficiency and operational availability of the test system.

The extraordinarily high repetition accuracy of all the testing parameters is guaranteed by the following options: hydraulic clamping for all traverse paths, a highly developed and patented pneumatic launch cylinder nearly free of backstroke, a durable 4-pillar design, and self-learning software for speed control.

Universal- Test Bench (For testing of the regulations 2003/102/EG and FMVSS201 and respetcively ECE R21 and ECE R12)



The Universal Test System makes it possible to carry out 4 different tests. The main advantage of this test system is the high protection of investment given to our customers.

On the basis of our extensive experience in the field of testing we have put a lot of effort into designing a lean structure for the launch device and for the supporting arm. The number of degrees of freedom and this optimised structure provides a quick and simple reach-ability of targets.

The durable incremental displacement and angle measuring devices, radio control unit and the wide traverse path are attributes for increase of efficiency and operational availability of the test system.

The extraordinarily high repetition accuracy of all testing parameters will be guaranteed by the following options: hydraulic clamping for all traverse paths, a high developed, patented pneumatic launch cylinder nearly free of backstroke, a durable 4-pillar design, and self-learning software for speed control.

An additional benefit stems from the ease of changing the launch device which has a time saving effect.

H- Pendulum (Test bench for testing of ECE R21)



The test system developed by Concept technology serves mainly as support for the development and optimization of instrument panels and similar energy absorption elements within the interior range of ECE- R21.



Accordingly the effectiveness of advancement in the ranges concerned becomes economically examinable. The pendulum is available as single and/or structure module (e.g. on FMH- installation).



The construction of the engine as a rotary piston system as opposed to a linear cylinder drive results in a much smaller building structure and lower module mass. The pre stressed suspension of the pendulum body by antifriction bearings and the sealing by contactless seals leads to an extraordinarily low system friction and thus to high repetition accuracy of the barrier impact speed.



Concept- and development attempts outside the legal requirements are made possible through a continually variable speed and the optional possibility of mass adjustment.

Knee Pendulum (Test Bench for testing of the knee impact conditions)



The test system developed by Concept serves to support the development and optimization of kneepads and similar energy absorption elements within the leg contact range. With this equipment, the knee impact conditions from preceding test sled and crash trials can be regulated in a cost effective manner. Consequently the advancement effectiveness of the ranges concerned can be economically examined. Through the separation of the drives for the two knee test bodies, a time delay can be adjusted with accuracy in the millisecond range. The pre-stressed storage of the two pendulum bodies with antifriction bearings and the sealing with contactless seals leads to extraordinarily low system friction and thus to a high repetition accuracy in the barrier impact speed.



Through an infinitely variable speed and the possibility of mass adjustment, a more than sufficient energy range is covered.

Mobile Load Cell Wall




The development of this installation has overstepped one of Concept Technologie’s previous benchmarks; however the properties of the systems which are most frequently used on the market have undergone significant scrutiny. During this scrutiny not only were the costs commonly criticised by clients looked at, but additionally the measuring accuracy and the weight of the equipment were taken into consideration. Resulting from these investigations we have decided to go with the unique magnetostrictive measuring system, so as to provide our clients with a simple and cost effective solution which can be used in relation with mobile barriers. As a result of the simplicity of the structure, in comparison with the piezoelectric measuring modules, it provides a reduction in the capital outlay costs where practical measuring accuracy and optimized self swing behaviour is concerned.

By the simple structure it comes compared with piezoelectric measuring modules to a reduction of the capital outlays with practical measuring accuracies and optimized self-swinging behaviour.

Statisches Rollover (zur Prüfung der Tankdichtheit nach FMVSS 301)













The test system developed by Concept Technologie is concerned with the examination of the tightness of tank and fuel haulage systems according to FMVSS 301. Through rotation of the vehicle of 360°, the tank tightness after the crash can be examined in any position.

Particularly worth drawing attention to is the simplicity of the structure (turning around FZG – Centre of gravity), and consequently also the simplicity of the use of the structure, which in turn result in dramatically reduced initial investments and induction periods compared with other equipment available on the market.



Through the option of a fully automatic test sequence, the operation complexity and the hold up time are reduced to a minimum, and the predetermined speed and hold up time can be accurately adhered to.



The separated catch trays are an additional distinguishing feature, which not only makes cleaning easier but also allows the extracted liquid to be measured.
